Gang
run

Printers save money by "ganging" many jobs onto one big press sheet. Every gap you leave is board that gets trimmed off and thrown away. Pack the jobs tight.

How to play

Fill the sheet

  • Print jobs drop onto the press sheet at their real size, bleed and gutter included.
  • Move, rotate and drop them to pack the sheet tight. The grey strip is the gripper edge: the press holds the sheet there, so nothing prints on it.
  • When the next job won't fit, the sheet goes to press. Your score is how much of the sheet you used.
  • Clean cuts +25: a straight line right across the sheet where jobs meet edge to edge and no job crosses is one guillotine pass (up to 6 per sheet). They show as red dashed lines.
  • Three sheets per run, each one faster.

Job sizes are real finished sizes plus 3 mm bleed and a gutter, rounded up to a 20 mm grid so the game stays playable. On a real job, our prepress team also plans grain direction, colour bars and cutting order.
